We use Nochex facilities to process credit cards. Once you have selected your goods and the shopping cart has calculated the total cost you will be transfered to Nochex's secure payment processing site in order for you to enter your credit card details. Nochex use state of the art security measures such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption (look for the golden padlock at the bottom of the window and HTTPS://.............. in your browser. At no time will your credit card details be stored or accessible to anyone using this website.

UK sales only:
We only ship to postal areas supported by Royal Mail First Class Parcel Post.  Unfortunately this means that we cannot ship to the Channel Islands at present.  We hope to bring international shipping on stream soon.

We try to ensue that pictures of the gemstone jewellery accurately reflects the goods on offer.  Please note however that colours depicted may vary on different web browsers and screens.  Note also that the size of the goods may be different from that of the image on your screen and in some cases enlarged in order to give a good image for reviewing.  You should always check the product description where key sizes will be stated.


caring for your jewellery: Hand crafted gemstone jewellery is robust and appropriate for everyday use provided you follow a few precautions.

wearing

• When wearing gemstone, crystal and pearl jewellery avoid high activity tasks such as  strenuous or impact sports activities and direct exposure to domestic cleaning substances such as bleach.
• Do not wear jewellery while in a swimming pool or hot tub or bathing - the chlorine in the water can damage a number of gemstones and silver.
• Apply makeup, perfume and hairspray before putting on your jewellery to avoid contact with solvents.
  
• Avoid wearing pearl or mother of pearl jewellery with sunscreens or sunblocks as the chemicals in some of these can dull the surface.

storage

• Store jewellery items separately to avoid scratching.
  
• Store jewellery away from sources of heat or sunlight as these can fade or cause deterioration of some gemstones.
• To avoid tarnishing store silver jewellery in resealable plastic bags preferably with silica-gel.  However, do not store pearls, opals or mother of pearl in plastic bags as these need to breath to release moisture.
• Gemstones that are sensitive to light and thus will slowly bleach in strong sunlight include (but is not limited to) - Amethyst,  Aquamarine, Aventurine, Celestite, Chrysoprase, Citrine, Fluorite, Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz and Topaz.

cleaning

• Do not use commercial jewellery cleaning solutions on your hand crafted jewellery as many of these pieces can be damaged by these cleaners.  Similarly do not use vinegar or lemon juice or ammonia-based cleaning products.
• Clean silver findings with a soft jewellery-cloth taking care to avoid rubbing any gemstones, pearls or mother of pearl.
• Clean gemstones, pearl and mother of pearl by rubbing with a soft cotton cloth.
• Gemstones that are sensitive to comercial cleaning solutions and domestic cleaning chemicals include (but is not limited to) Amber, Aquamarine, Coral, Emerald, Jade, Lapis, Malachite, Opal, Turquoise, Pearls, mother of Pearl and other Shells.  To avoid problems don't put jewellery into any cleaning chemicals or solutions.
